Welcome to Sri Lanka. When you arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and finish immigration and customs, a Ceylon Gate Travels representative will meet you. Then travel to Habarana, a quiet town in the Cultural Triangle. In the evening, enjoy a Cultural Dance Show, with colourful costumes, drumming and traditional Sri Lankan dances. This is a lovely way to start your holiday. Relax and rest for the night in Habarana.

Today you explore Habarana. Visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress, an ancient palace built on top of a huge rock, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Climb up to see the old ruins and enjoy wide views over the forest. Later, go on a Village Tour to see how people live in the Sri Lankan countryside, travelling by bullock cart and visiting a local home.

Today you travel from Habarana to Kandy. On the way, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple. It has five rock caves full of old Buddha statues and wall paintings. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important temples in Sri Lanka. Enjoy a Dressing Experience, trying on traditional Sri Lankan clothing. In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth, one of the most important Buddhist temples in the country.

Spend the day around Kandy. Visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you can see many elephants, including babies, being cared for and fed. Next, walk through the Peradeniya Botanical Garden, a large garden with many kinds of trees, plants and flowers. Later, visit a Gem Museum to learn about Sri Lanka's famous gemstones and how they are cut and polished.

Today you travel from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, a cool hill town. On the way, stop at Ramboda Falls, a tall and pretty waterfall set among green hills. Later, enjoy a Tea Tasting at your hotel, trying different kinds of Ceylon tea. You will also visit a Tea Estate to see how tea leaves are picked and made into the tea you drink every day.
