Thereafter proceed to Dambulla Cave Temple.
Dambulla Cave temple lies atop a massive hill on the edge of the town is one of the eight UNESCO world heritage sites in the country and is renowned for its unique sculptures and the largest mural paintings.

Pindurangala Monastery is located in close proximity to the wondrous Sigiriya rock fortress and was once a royal temple that sheltered over 500 monks which came under the patronage of the medieval King Kashyapa, the ruler of Sigiriya.
Thereafter visit Kaludiya Pokuna and enjoy a bicycle tour to experience village life.
Kaludiya Pokuna which literally translates into the ‘dark-water pool’ is said to have been named due to the shadows cast on the water by the surrounding trees, boulders and mountains.
Located at the foot of the Mihintale hills in the North Central province, the ruins that surround the pool speak of ancient architectural genius. Although the pool is man-made, it has been carefully constructed to appear like part of the natural landscape.

Embark on a trek to Lipton’s Seat along with indulging in a local lunch.
One of the highest look-out points of Sri Lanka, it is named after Sir Thomas Lipton, the Scottish tea-baron and the first tea-planter in Sri Lanka.
The bird’s eye view of the scenic panorama stretching beyond Lipton’s Seat (located 1615 metres (5300 feet) above sea level) rivals the views from the World’s End. The walk up to the Lipton seat is pleasant owing to the mild up-country climate, through a narrow-paved road adjoining a tea factory, across lush tea plantations.
If you start the walk early morning, not only will you be able to observe the golden rays of the rising sun falling onto the plains below but also the colourful tea-pluckers that set off to work. January and February are the ideal months to visit Lipton's Seat as the mist reduces almost to nil and offers a much clearer view of the landscapes below.

Upper Diyaluma waterfall in Sri Lanka stands as a majestic natural wonder, cascading from great heights into a pristine pool. Thereafter transfer to Udawalawe via Buduruwagala.
The name ‘Buduruwagala’ translates literally: "a Buddha statue in the rocks"s and stands true to its appellatio. It is exactly what it is – seven figures carved into a solid rock among which is a 15 metre (51 feet) Buddha statue.
The gigantic figurines are sculpted into a 21 metre (70 feet) rocky cliff that is shaped in the likes of a kneeling elephant. The history of the temple dates back to the 8th century although no scriptures that can be related to the origins of the temple exist.
